Sketches on a tour to Copenhagen, through Norway and Sweden; interspersed with historical and other anecdotes of public and private character. To which is added an Appendix, relative to the present political state of Norway.

London, Longman, Hurst, Rees, Orme and Brown, 1814. Half title, forntispiece portrait [16], , 224, cxxviiipp. 9 plates, including the frontispiece of Christian Frederik, King of Norway, two of which are hand-coloured costume plates. 21 vignettes in the text. 4to. First edition.

LAID IN: two extra portraits of the prince/king.

Some rubbing to exterior, though still tight and with mostly clean and fresh interior. One page with contemporary repair to outer magrins, with two narrow paper strips (not affecting text).

  2. Utover tilslagssummen tilkommer for kjøper et auksjonssalær på 25%.
  3. Auksjonen avsluttes på angitt tidspunkt. For hvert bud innen de 5 siste minutter tilbakestilles tiden til 5 minutter til auksjonsslutt.
  4. Salget gjøres opp ved bankoverføring innen en uke etter fakturautstedelse.

Auction terms

  1. The books are described to the best of our ability. Defects not specified must be reported no later than 7 days after receipt. Such books can be returned.
  2. In addition to the hammer price, the buyer will be charged a hammer fee of 25%
  3. The auction ends at the specified time. For each bid within the last 5 minutes, the time is reset to 5 minutes until the end of the auction.
  4. The sale is settled by bank transfer within one week of invoice issuance.

On bidding

Register a maximum bid and the system will automatically bid for you in intervals of 50,- (up to 2000,-), 100,- (up to 3000) and 200 (from 3000,-) until someone bids more than your registered maximum bid.
If you wish to increase your already registered maximum bid, this is easily done by placing a higher bid on the item, without affecting the standing bid.
