Jacket with some chipping to edges. Closed tear in upper edge of front panel reinforced on verso (se photos). The book in very near fine condition. A beautiful copy in the jacket which is rarely seen.

The first illustrated edition of «Tales of Mystery and Imagination». 24 full-page black and white plates by Harry Clarke [1889 – 1931], an Irish stained-glass artist and book illustrator. Born in Dublin, he was a leading figure in the Irish Arts and Crafts Movement.
